An event every week that begins at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, repeating until Wednesday, May 25, 2022

What’s the point of living Jewishly? What ideas, beliefs, and practices are involved? This course examines a wide variety of Jewish sources to discover the deeper meanings underlying Jewish holidays, lifecycle observances, and Jewish practice.
Discover the central ideas and texts which inform our daily, weekly and annual rituals as well as life cycle observances and essential Jewish theological concepts and ideas as they unfold in the Bible, the Talmud and other sacred texts.
The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, a project of Hebrew University in Jerusalem supplies the curriculum for a two year course of study, taught by local area Rabbis and Jewish educators that provides adults with a comprehensive understanding of Jewish thought, practice and history. No prerequisite learning is required.
Core 2 Cost: $300 per person, per year, includes all books and materials. (Generously subsidized by the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning Endowment Fund of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.)
