Melton: OMG, Can You Believe?!

Thursday, May 5 @ 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 9:30 AM on Thursday, repeating until Friday, May 20, 2022

In this six-week exploratory Melton course, we’ll dive into the BIG questions around God and God’s relationship to humankind. We’ll examine the many different understandings of God, free will and destiny as expressed by Jewish philosophers, rabbis, leaders past and present — and you. We’ll explore the divine, the prophetic and even the supernatural as we amplify and dissect deep “God” questions.

The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, a project of Hebrew University in Jerusalem supplies the curriculum for a two-year course of study, taught by local area Rabbis and Jewish educators that provides adults with a comprehensive understanding of Jewish thought, practice and history. No prerequisite learning is required.

COST: $90* for 6 sessions (all sessions IN PERSON at Rodef Shalom)

*Use code PGH89OMG to receive the discounted price. Generously subsidized by the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning Endowment Fund of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
